Arts of the Albemarle would like to extend an invitation to you in the hope that you will become a member of an organization that is dedicated to promoting arts education and cultural opportunities for all children and adults in the Albemarle Area.
There are numerous benefits available to you with an AOA membership. Check out the exciting events planned for the 2010-2011 membership year from gallery exhibits that depict the talent of many local artists, children’s programs in and out of the school setting, learning opportunities for children and adults and, of course, fun events such as the annual Taste of the Albemarle and the Harbor Arts Festival.
AOA has shown continual growth each year. As we look forward to the upcoming year we want you to be a part of the journey. The gallery is filled with beautiful artwork, photography and handcrafts that are made by citizens of the Albemarle Area. The AOA Arts School reached record numbers of children in our region with an array of programs in area school systems as well as continuing the ArtsReach after school program. AOA is approaching our first anniversary in the newly renovated Lowry-Chesson Building. This is an exciting time to be an AOA member as we continue to bring new and diverse programs to The Center, our community’s modern downtown visual and state-of-the-art performing arts center.
We need your help. AOA receives 80% of its operating funds through membership and donations. These funds are crucial for continued growth and management of this multi-faceted organization and the cultural offerings to the Albemarle Area. Please contribute at the highest level that you are able to ensure the longevity of the Arts of the Albemarle and the wonderful services it renders for our community.
